OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEWER DANCERS This year's Jubilee includes a variety of sessions for newer dancers. Whether you are a student in a May class, a student in a September class, or a complete beginner -- or somebody who wants to introduce a friend or neighbor to square dancing -- Jubilee has something for you! EVERYONE is welcome at our "Introduction to Square Dancing" on Friday evening. Come to this session to find out what square dancing is like, or bring your friends. No experience necessary -- and it's ***FREE***. For beginners who would like to learn more, we are having an all-day "Blast Class" on Sunday. This class will cover many more calls than the Intro session. The cost for this class is $5. Dancers in current classes will be able to dance to several of our "Top Ten" callers at the Class-Level Dance on Saturday evening. This session will have alternating tips at the September and May class levels, so everyone will have a chance to dance. And for new dancers who want to attend just only session, we are offering a special price -- just $8 for the evening if they pre-register. Dancers in May classes will also be able to dance during the Mainstream hour at noon on Saturday, and in the "all-skate" tips right after the Grand March and at the end of the regular session on Saturday evening. For people in May classes who are inclined to a bit of adventure, there are three special sessions on Saturday which may be of interest: * Introduction to Hexagons * Magical Mystery Tour * Ghosts from Our Past You'll be learning something new in each of these sessions, but it won't be the usual calls you learn in a regular class, and you don't need to know anything beyond Mainstream to participate! The final session of the weekend will be the "DieHard Dance". This will include tips at a variety of levels, including some that will be suitable for May class members and even new people if they have taken the Blast Class.
